River Ranch
River Ranch is designed for custom tented weddings, giving couples the opportunity to create an outdoor wedding experience in a private Adirondack setting. A level event field creates the foundation for ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, dining, dancing, and guest flow, with multiple photography locations throughout the property and a maintained service road for vendors, rentals, and guest transportation.
River Ranch is available from June through Columbus Day, aligning with Lake Placid’s summer and fall wedding seasons. It is ideal for couples looking beyond a traditional wedding venue and seeking a truly unique Adirondack wedding experience.

- Special Event Permit (required in Lake Placid for properties to legally host events)

Not Included: The following items are required for events at River Ranch and are arranged at the renter’s expense:
- Approved rental company for all event rentals, including tents, lighting, tables, chairs, tabletop items, restrooms, and related rental needs
- Licensed and insured caterer with NYS Liquor License.
- Designated Wedding Planner (see below)
- Event insurance policy listing the property owner as additionally insured
- Wedding support vendors including photographer, entertainment, transportation, florist, etc.
All weddings at River Ranch are managed through its designated wedding planner. Planning services are required for all events and contracted separately from the venue rental.
