Located in Lake Placid, New York, River Ranch is a private 90-acre Adirondack estate offering one of the most iconic settings for tented weddings in Lake Placid and the Adirondacks. With panoramic views of the High Peaks and the MacIntyre Range, the property is designed for fully customized wedding weekends in a mountain setting.
As a land-only rental, River Ranch provides flexibility for tented weddings, allowing for intentional layout, elevated design, and a seamless guest experience. The grounds support ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception flow, with multiple photography locations throughout the property. A maintained service road ensures efficient access for vendors, rentals, and guest transportation.
River Ranch is available from June through Columbus Day, aligning with Lake Placid’s peak summer and fall wedding seasons. Ideal for couples planning a Lake Placid wedding, Adirondack wedding weekend, or private estate celebration.

Actual investment is determined by event date and guest count.
- Special Event Permit (required in Lake Placid for properties to legally host events)

Not Included (Required) – At Renter’s Expense All necessary event rentals, including but not limited to wedding tents, lighting, heating, tables, chairs, tabletop items, restrooms, power, and flooring
- All event staffing
- Event insurance policy listing the property owner as additionally insured
- Licensed and insured caterer with NYS Liquor License
- All vendors must provide proof of insurance coverage
- Required wedding planner (see below)
- Waste removal plan
- Motorized vehicles, including but not limited to ATVs, golf carts, and similar equipment
- Tent permit & inspection by the Code Enforcers offers
- Overnight lodging accommodations
Due to the nature of the property, all weddings at River Ranch are managed through its
designated wedding planner. Planning services are required for all events and contracted
separately from the venue rental.
